I have recently been prompted to put my "perspective" into "perspective." What is the source of my perspective? What determines my happiness, my disappointments, my good days, my bad days, my smiles, or my frowns? Our views on life are often tainted with the news around us, and in the days that surround us, rarely do you hear good news. How does that news affect you? Does it determine how you live your life? Does it determine your happiness? Most often times when something "negative" happens in our life, that's exactly what it returns... "negative results." There have been plenty of people that turn a negative happening into a positive result. As Albert Einstein put it, "In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity." What do you do with that opportunity? I guess a better question would be, do you even see the opportunity? I have always heard the statement made, that when you think you have it bad, there is always someone who has it worse than you. That in and of itself should change your perspective for that particular situation. One of my mentors recently shared this video clip with me. http://mycmps.wordpress.com/ I think it will change your perspective forever. It certainly changed mine.
